Possibly 8 to 10 inches of snow forecasted for the next few days at home. Good thing it isn't to going to be bitter. Well maybe when the 40 mile winds move in. We will be ice fishing on the big lake for at least 2 more weeks. Good thing it ain't bitter cold. It would be 6 lol.

Sorry for the delay. Been busy.
I like working hard but gotta admit, I aint 25 anymore. Took alot out of me.
This stand/spot will only 6be hunted at best, a few times a year. Gonna be tough to stay out of it but...
It's THE MAJOR travel corridor between 2 bedding areas and I know I'll tip the does off hunting it to often.
Hope I have the willto stay out of it untill at least Nov 1st.
I brushed out every branch/twig/ ect to make sure I have a clean path in not rubbing against anything.
Pics show the deer trails from many year of use.
It's gonna be good.
Jbyrd, you just don't get it do you?

This stand is going to cost me around 2000 bucks for the log it ruined I had to use a saws all to cut the platform to remove it

Geesh I guess that is a prime example of why a stand should be loosened at least every other year.

One concern I have with leaving ladder stands up is that a trespasser could try to come sit in 1, or try to sneak in & think they found a hot spot to hunt. It'd be nice if there is some way to deter a trespasser from sitting in a ladder stand--i.e. put something on it to make it hard for 'em to sit on or climb. Avoiding putting them near the property line I guess is an obvious idea.. or maybe taking 'em down after season, but it seems like it could be a pain to take them down every year. I've never put up a ladder stand but I assume it's not easy. I bought 1 on Black Friday.
