The last receiving date is 10 April 2022. It is 7 April 2022. Decision time. No posted Sold Catalog = bad prices?
Supposedly somebody at FHA reads this stuff. Figure something out.

Could be PT sales are still going on. They will wait until this sale is done - prompt date - and then post the final version of the sold catalog.
I know the timing sucks but what else can you say. Could always move the last receiving date? It's not like the sale is in May or even early June like they used to be when they had far more fur to sort. P.S. the Canadians get until 17 April.

I have often seen that the last receiving date was between you and your closest agent.
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

Maybe today is the big day? Looks like 73 days to ship and sort fur for the next auction. Seems to me I used to ship in the beginning of Jan and the sales were in late Feb a few years back. What is that like 50 or so days to get ready for a sale with at least twice the fur.
Obviously these numbers are available, since FHA did a catalog price breakdown on Beaver a week or so ago.

Does the sold catalog list all the PT sales? I have never looked at one.

Speaking of the FH sold catalog, is there a quick and easy way to find a certain species without scrolling through hundreds of pages?? If so, would some one please share. Thanks I’d settle for alphabetic order.

For Joe1 and NWS, LLC. For Joe my trapping this year was side product of my new job that puts me in the same forest. Just some time invested. Income is assured at record low prices. Marten are not selling for record low prices this year. Sometimes I am looking for the price break. If I am looking to make $50 per pelt, ( as an example for whatever species.) I'll cherry pick the size and quality and color that brings that money. The rest will make a trip to a tannery. Once tanned, lots of options and time is not a big deal.
Can you get burned shipping? Yep. This is how I try not to get burned.

Some fur is not worth pursuing in big numbers, but beaver have long been a species that a northern trapper can make money on with the price of castor being so strong for so long, and the larger sizes bringing a decent return. At the last auction marten is starting to come up nicely. I will put more effort into marten next winter for sure if the prices I got at the last FHA sale hold or continue to rise.

Speaking of the FH sold catalog, is there a quick and easy way to find a certain species without scrolling through hundreds of pages?? If so, would some one please share. Thanks Load the catalogue and then use "control F" to bring up a search bar. You can type in the species your looking for or if you know the lot # type that in, it might pull up a couple different species but you can just click the arrows and scroll through till you find the one your looking for. Unfortunately there's no way to narrow it down to a grade with the search function.
