The woke folk at the Anchorage Daily News seem to be all twitterpated about the fact that our Governor goes hunting! It points out once again how far removed from reality a lot of Anchorage liberals seem to be.

Nice sounding governor

There are the loud minority here , in Missoula, that also complain about our governor who hunts and traps.

Every time they comment , there are twice that many who tell them to pound sand. And if they don't like our lifestyle, move back to California , the east coast, China or Cuba. I smile at the vast majority , even located in those bigger towns, who slap the snot out of the dumb Ivy League Marxist left ignorant.

We lived in Homer when our boys were little, once when returning from outside we had a long layover in Anchorage and our 4-year-old asked "When can we go to Alaska?" He already had it figured out and that was 22 years ago!

I got nothing against a guy hunting,just something about a public servant having his fun paid for by individuals/buisnesses that dont quite sit right.
At least he disclosed his fringe benefits,I'll give him that.

Doubt he gives out state money to these guys. Not too sure how the trips outside would benefit him, other than the fun. The guide who took him on a bear hunt might be hoping for a governors tag or some such.
Maybe if more guvs and politicos were publicly out hunting it would gain more followers.

Mike is certainly not the same guy who in 1984 showed up in Fairbanks from Scranton, PA looking for a teaching job. I just hope he's a better shot than the last time we went caribou hunting.

Anchorage, as close to Alaska as you can get, and still not be there.

A young 20 year old guy with a mullet and "77" KZ 1000 back in the early 80s told me Anchorage was a wild awesome place to chase women with a pocket full of fishing cash.

I dont have the bike or the mullet anymore. Wish I did.
