Just need to tap into the correct markets. But yes within 35min of Louisville. But it was the same at our old place 1 hr from a town of 115k.
I can rase them but I'm not going to do it for nothing. Honestly at those prices on the eggs I'm not making much. I may loose money on the eggs of you figure not laying in the winter and time tell they start laying.
Yeah the egg prices ain't bad. But I can't believe anyone would spend over $20 for a chicken, lol.

Anyone on here water glass eggs ?
We do. Last October we saved all our CLEAN eggs and saved about 300. We ate on them up until last month. Only found a couple that were bad and that was because they were broke. Yolks are runny though.

Yeah , they're good for baking , and omelets or scrambled , but still good ! Once in awhile you get a yoke that holds up .

They last along time that way . Mostly used to get over the winter when eggs are few on homesteads .

Our Farmers Market is ranging from $6-$8 a dozen. Is anyone buying at those prices? I thought $3 doz. Was outrageous
