Any one use it as bait or in bait formulation? I've used the fat back in the past for fisher bait and still have the hearts/liver from my pigs. Like every thing else, what I don't eat usually goes towards some sort of trapping bait.

Hog liver has work as well as beef liver. Deer liver is the best to eat though, as it has no gall.

Every wild caught coyote I kept penned for urine collection were crazy about pork liver. None would even eat beef liver, it would lay there until it spoiled and be slightly nibbled at or ignored completely. Ace

I made 2 gal. of pork liver bait about 3 months ago. Lots of ingredients. Ground it up and tainted for about a month. Smells like good stuff for bait. Havn't tested it yet, we'll see.

"400 hogs,
there just standin' out there
my wife can't feed 'em
and my neighbors don't care

They can't get out and roam around
like my ol' huntin' dogs
Here I am in this dang bed
and who's gonna feed them hogs"?

I do not know about K9's but dipped in eggs and crakcers fried with onions is great.

Nothing better then calves liver, but I'll have to pass on the pork. Think I'll cut some up, add a little castor and skunk and use it latter in the season for k9 or weasal/fisher boxes.

Used to use it to bait my trotlines with when I was a kid. Catfish love it.
