LOL...mine was a 69 chevelle SS with a 375 horse 396 in it. How I survived that car is beyond me. How I survived alot of things from back is beyond me.
Music from when I was younger is a bit different…lol
Idk how well Spice Girls will be received.
Lol, that was brutal. I don't know how young you're talking but I came of age with bands like Def Leppard and Journey. It was a good time to be in your early twenties.

Me too. Kids my age listened to rap music I couldn't understand the words to. I was pretty easy going about music growing up. From 8-14 my favorite groups were the hair bands like G&R and Metallica, but I also listened to pop, oldies, 90s country, classic rock, new rock... anything other than rap or boy bands. I guess the anthem of my youth was probably this...
These days I listen mostly to 40s-90's country music, bluegrass, and not sure what they call it but modern cowboy music, lol.
But there are days I crank up guns and roses... or the beach boys... or lynyrd skynard, or fleetwood mac. It just depends on my mood.

Only thing goofy is someone who was young in the 70s calling 3 dog night goofy!! Bad finger was good stuff. How much of that goat, Nessy, is original?
All of it ..my man ! Original ,born with motor ,trans,rear end. Original door cards,and seats too. Head liner and carpet were changed. Original gas tank, remote mirror, power antenna , factory AC , factory Power windows, power steering and brakes, Speed alert speedometer, door edge guards, 3:23 posi , original turbo 400 trans, original column shift car. All original sheet metal…and original floors. I had to put some trunk pans and a rear tail light panel in it. All matches the PHS documents….and that hard top car is sitting on a factory ordered ( convertible frame ) all boxed in…also known as Heavy Duty Frame.

Did you know that the lyrics for Turn Turn Turn are from the Bible? Check out the Book of Ecclesiastes, 3rd Chapter, Verses 1-8.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 King James Version
1) To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2) A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3) A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4) A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5) A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6) A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7) A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8) A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
I married a moonshiner's daughter and I love her still!

one of mine was a 66 impala 396 375 horse 2 door. Drove it up from va. Bought it with 28000 miles....650 bucks. Was offered a nomad wagon for 50 bucks and let it slide.
Yes Critter, I knew the words to Turn Turn Turn were from the bible The song was written by Pete Seeger and a #1 hit for the Byrds in 65. I am pretty sure Mcguinn will perform the song ,when I go to his concert next month Tom

I still identify with the music I grew up with in HS and my college days which is from 62 and then it died when the disco era started in the mid to late 70s. Varies from the Platters, Drifters and groups such as those to the rock and roll era and the folk music of those days as well. Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison to name a few individuals, CCR Three Dog Night for groups, Seekers and female vocalists were Linda Ronstadt, Judy Collins and a host of others. Fleet Wood Mac would be my favorite group that came on a bit later. For me a lot of very good music during those times and I could actually understand the lyrics as well.
