If you are freezing green raccoon skins, the electric bill might be more than the value of the pelts. LOL You are correct wissmiss better off unplugging the freezer and with gas pushing $4.00 even if you can move the fur would not take more than a week to be in a hole for the season!

I’m gonna start putting away some cash every paycheck for the tannery bill next spring. I’d rather upholster my couch with coyotes than sell em for nothing.

How much would it be to have them tanned for keeps generally? Because depending on the price I may want to buy a few off you guys for more than market value.

For a project I'm considering. And it would require several furs. And was curious if a lump sum would be cheaper than just buying all of them already tanned from providers.

Tanned beaver market is hotter than ever here. All my $115 dollar beaver are now sold out and only a few $125 dollar beaver left. Only got them back from the tanner a short while ago. Hope the old carcass holds up for next fall trapping. With the price of marten at auction and castor added its looking pretty good for a mixed line next year.Sold out all the tanned wolves also.(only had a few). Tanned Ermine almost gone and only one tanned otter left. Gonna have to tan a bunch of raw fur from the freezer if I want to hit the Pow Wow trail this summer.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.
