Boco is right about this. I did that with a bobcat in a culvert. Whew! That was loud.

Listen to Boco, if you can hear him. Even a 22 is really loud in a culvert, a 44 is loud even with earplugs.

The water is rising here now, been raining for two days.

Rivers and creeks are way up this morning. Flood it out what few sets I have out. I think we are getting all the rain we missed out on last year.

Still after them huh Les.? I have been on a call here on about a 10 acre pond with one lodge. Tonight I had my number 8 and 9 beaver. It seems like it never ends. Still have not caught the big female. A couple of days left then will be done. Did make a good friendship with the land owner which is always a plus.

Season will end here in a couple days, but no, I am done, just took care of a problem for someone, and I know that spot will have beaver in it by fall.

Dear trapper les,

Am I (we ) to understand you are using re-bar ( reinforcement rod ) as a slider ( slide rod ) as opposed to a smooth rod of the same diameter ?
I am curious to your reasoning on this.
I would love to see a close up of the slide lock being used.
