Reckless driving ? Are you serious ? With that many horses, what choice do you have ? I thought it was incredible and a thing of beauty. I've watched it 25 times. He deserves an award !!
I didn't get to see the race live. I did get to see it from where he first made his move. That was just insane how he maneuvered it thru the crowd. Even though I knew who won I still started yelling at the screen for him to go.... lol

I saw the video of the race from overhead with the horses labeled. Fantastic watching it happen from above. They called the jockey reckless? Spoiled bunch of losers, he ran that horse perfectly and didn’t impede anyone. Coming into the home stretch it was like he was shot out of a cannon. Amazing.

The Preakness is may 21. I could see wanting to rest your horse longer and be ready for the next big race. Maybe the prize in the Belmont is higher! Googled it. Belmont total prize money is more than Preakness in 2021. Derby was the highest.

Osky[/quote ] I agree with Osky. It's not like he did an auto racing style slide job or bump and run. (Which would be cool to see!) It seems pretty simple to me - if your horse is faster than everyone else you pass them to win the race.
