My only issue with SRO's or deputies at schools is when behavior issues end up being police matters for thigs like back talking or refusing to change for gym, saw it at the schools my kids went to as staff would call thee SRO to deal with a teen or preteen didn't follow rules and were used to intimidate children. And then were hit with charges not going to class or other dumb things kids do. I am all for them being at schools and part of the support system for the children but not as a school disciplinarian .
