Sorry too hear that. It’s never easy

That is sad.
Just recently we were admiring him.

We have lost many old labs in 40 years.
They have made life worth living.
Our last were two brothers just shy of 15.

Rejoice in your memories and enjoy those other dogs too.

Nessy, when my Luke Dawg passed it affected the entire neighborhood. It’s been my only complaint with God that he didn’t allow dogs to live as long as humans. I never got another Lab after he passed, just couldn’t bring myself to attempt to replace him. I truly understand what you and your son are going through. Thoughts and prayers heading your way.

It is a hard thing, but sometimes you have to do what is best for the dog, even if it's not best for you. I put my dog down on 22 Sept last fall. I think of him every day still. He was 16 years and 22 days. I got him at five weeks.

He was indeed Mr. Handsome! Remember that thumping tail and his smile, till you meet again.

I know your pain way too many times. Feel for you. Wish I had some words of wisdom but I don't. Just remember all the good times.

They leave such a big hole when they're gone. It's okay to cry. Been there.

It may suck for you Nessy but not for a pup who’s again found new legs, sharp eyes, skies full of birds, and the patience to wait for you.

Nice looking dog for sure. No b.s. a dog is a mans best friend. I often think of the lab I had in high school some 40 years ago. He was the best thing I had in those days for sure. Sorry for your loss.

Messy, Sorry to hear. We had to put are sons black lab down last Oct. We have two other labs, But still miss her.
