Looking to build a storage box for the pickup. I'm looking to make light enough that two people can move it easily. I will be storing tools, consumables, basically everything other than the traps themselves. Looking to see if anyone would share any ideas of what they have made or used. Positive and the negative. Pics would be amazing. Thanks in advance.

I have done the trap box thing a couple times, always ended up a mess.
So now I have went to a hard plastic sheep water tub and a canvas tarp.
It's nice I can pull it out of truck bed and Wash it.
I keep clean traps and stakes in it.
Trapping bag , waxed dirt and whatever clean stuff.

Dirty traps, critters in the rest of pickup bed.

End of day when I restock I tarp it.

Let me sugar coat this

I bought two concrete mixing tubs for critters. Slide in out easily, and easy to clean up. Very durable, don't tip over either.
Nice tool bag for my setting and checking tools, and couple milk crates for traps and stuff.
Buckets tipped over too easily unless really wedged in the bed along with other stuff.
I had one big box once but it was a jumbled mess by end of season.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Two aluminum tool boxes for me. You can sort with crates or litter boxes or what ever inside the two boxes.1st one is std across the back window and the other from that box along the length of the driver side just inside (interior of) the wheel well. I built a pallet for the rest of the truck bed that pins that 2nd toolbox in so i do not have to fasten it to the bed. Use the plastic mail box tube(s) on each side of the wheel well to hold stakes, BG setters, all metal hammer etc., - anything that can get wet and not get hurt. Pallet on the passenger side of the box holds the catch and any buckets of waxed dirt or bait etc.. At the end of the season you can pull the pallet, pull the 2nd tool box, hose everything and still have the 1st tool box fixed adjacent to the cab. Been working for me for 15 years but there are a lot of trapping truck bed designs that are out in use with a lot of experience behind them. ................ the mike

I would like to do the aluminum truck boxes. Not sure I like the price tag associated. However the durability is there. Security also. I like the idea of the mixing tubes JabNE.
