Nice. To bad more people dont eat them. Things are a real problem. I know a wildlife services was killing them in NE a couple years ago.

They are as good as dove and much bigger.

Looked like the 2nd guy had a bucket I'm guessing was bird seed for baiting them in.

I often wonder how many would state in the city if a catastrophe happend when there were food sources so close at hand.

If people were starving the pigeons would be gone in a day or two. Rats might last a LITTLE longer. They are smarter and able to access small spaces. Dandelions in the park and cattails in the ditches, geese at the golf course, fish would all get seined up pretty quick too. Not everybody in a city is clueless and the clueless would wise up fast. Within a few months survivors would be cannibals' if for some reason they could not leave.

I wonder if you made a net cage trap for them aviary netting with chain at the edges ,some prop stakes to hold it up and prop up two ends let them go in to feed and pull the line to drop the ends.

let them get used to eating under the net a few days then drop and catch a lot of them sort of like a hog trap for pidgins

The voodoo market for pigeons in Florida is huge. I know a guy who was taking 1200 plus pigeons a week to Florida, from Ohio, to one large Santos and Santaria supplier. He also sold them huge amounts of bantam roosters and young mini goats. He was getting $10.00 each for colored pigeons and $15.00 each for solid white pigeons. They stiffed him and he stopped going.

Trapping the pigeons would work better. I used to trap huge numbers of feral pigeons. I once caught 547 pigeons in 2 days, off of just one roof.

I knew several guys that used to use 3 net cannons linked together to catch pigeons at Cargill. They used the pigeons to train Springer Spaniels.

Used a fish net on a extended pole to catch them under bridges and barn rafters. Start young dogs are on. Until the coop was established.

We need to get bigger nets & do that to the democrats

Used to shoot a bunch of them with .22 rat shot in our silos at work.I would clean them all and cook them up for the crew.Everyone loved them.More meat than a Dove.
