My daughter and my daughter in law both teach. I know they would both protect their students with any means available. I would rather see them have the option of a pistol than a big book .

any school board can make exceptions for any staff

so you can solve this at the local level also , waiting on the fed or state to do anything let alone right is wasting time.

It's a shame we even have to consider arming teachers or "hardening" our schools. But, some people don't fear being prosecuted for violating gun laws. I'd say, like many others have, enforce the laws we have on the books already.

Exactly why parents have to make school security happen. They have the power to do it if they only would. Gun control has become a political issue that neither party wants to go away, just like illegal immegration.

They already do some places, police or arm guards hire out at stores, an School, in Chicago they do, dicks sport goods has or used have a officer permant assign to store, after riots, the riots were pretty bad some places an stores boarded up windows an barricaded doors in malls I rember 2 summers ago , I heard in quad cities it was bad rioters an looters

The school in Okay, Oklahoma (near Tahlequah) has had armed staff since 2018... They also have signs outside notifying people of it.

I can't verify it... But I believe Broken Bow schools are the same way.

Armed school staff is great only if no one knows who is Armed.

Gards or cops at the door or the fall into routine patterns and can't react tell something happens. Everyone that halls anything to do with that. School will know them.

It's as simple as walking in like normal and taking them out walking right in and causing havoc. Now unknown armed people shooters do not know who or where the danger to them will come from. Makes it much more risky to be taken out quickly.

Schools in alabama already have teachers and VP s armed. How do I know? Because I went to school with the VP and I know the Coach there both armed NOW and have been. They both are allowed to use our private gun range County Task Force shoots here too. Everyone is on board for arming treacher in my county ALSO share range with Ex Army Delta Force friend of ours. He has train some church folks last time. And has said = I will gladly train any teachers that want it for our county for free. A little special forces type training might be a good thing for teachers
