That is a redneck pig castrator.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

That is a redneck pig castrator. LOL, When I was stationed in Biloxi, Miss in '68, some of us guy's went to P-cola for the beach, and one of the guy's was body surfing when a crab locked on to his sack. Life was hard for that boy for the rest of the time I knew him.

Blue crab. When i was the prduce Manager of a produce market in VA we sold dozens of them.when they were in the soft shell stage.
It last a short rime when the blue crab shed their shells.
We had standing order from them. You remove the gridle and fry shell and all.
Thise people were crazy about soft shell crab sandwiches.
The old guy on swamp people sells them commercially

Yup, speckled swimming crab. Just googled it, didn’t look like a blue crab to me. Blue crabs!

The shape says blueclaw crab. The spots are strange, I've never seen one with spots though.
I can't eat the softshell crabs. My wife will fry one up and eat it on bread. I can't get over the fact that it's a whole crab shell and all. Once I've picked the meat out of one they're delicious. I like steaks and burgers but I don't want a big slice of cow.

I am going to Charleston, SC here in a couple of weeks. I thought I might get a couple of collapsible pods to try to catch some crabs in. Wire or netting better? I like the thoughts of folding them up until next beach trip. I see expensive ones and cheap ones?? Any thoughts from you beach goers.
