Also, FYI: My Motorhead buddy warned me about Seafoam in the crankcase, said it might OVER clean the engine to the point that gaskets and seals might start leaking from the crud that's helping seal it being removed.

If I was gonna put it in the crankcase, I would do it just prior to an oil change. What BB said could also be valid….you might be removing gunk that’s keeping things sealed.

Every 100K or so I'd put a qt of kerosene in a hot krank case run it for 5 min, then let it drain overnight,. change filter, then refill with fresh oil. Much the same thing as the sea foam deal.

Added to gas. No major issues. Just thought a little added maintenance wouldnt hurt. She has 265,000 on her and going strong. I keep maticious maintenance.

I am a SEA FOAM believer for use in 2 strokes. Just a small amount in a tank fill up on a 4-wheeler or mc.
