If you have access to an old freezer or refrigerator they would act as your housing and are insulated. A light bulb of the right size would provide the heat source. You then would have to monitor the temperature by getting a digitial thermometer to run into the interior with a cord and the display will be on the exterior.

You will have to establish the bulb wattage to get your desired temperature for the size unit you are using. These old appliances will help to protect from flies if they are sealed well. You will have to monitor your product frequently for invaders.

Anywhere it don’t freeze.

Spring is my favorite time to taint a bunch of stuff. Cool enough to get a good slow taint on stuff, and no bugs yet.

I'm by no means saying that I know what I'm doing but, for small batches I use the big 2 1/2 gallon zip locks. They keep flies and bugs out, take expansion well, and hold in any odors and liquids..
