snakecollector trapper S Joined: Mar 2012 Posts: 622 S.W. Oregon,USA	I am not positive. but I believe that the numbers under the springs are a batch # from when the springs were tempered. I have found no documentation to explain what they are. I have not yet seen a numbered spring on a #0 Newhouse but have seen them on #1 thru #4 1/2.

Told him I could send a pic thru trapperman PM, and the spring I grabbed just happens to have the batch number stamp underneath too. I'll just post the pics here. I have seen those numbers before but they are not real common...
