Just finished grinding 6 very dry castors, filling at least a 20 oz bottle .

The bottle next to it is ground castors in soft red wine .

The green bottle is castors in vodka.

The peanut butter jar is castor with nut meg , some of the bosses glycerin and vodka.

What do you guys recommend I do with this bottle ?

For now just leave it dry? Then decide what your target animals are? Beaver castor is a great ingredient in many formulations.

You can't go wrong using beaver castor.

Take about an ounce of the castor, mix in a little mineral oil or glycerine to make a paste-then add a few drops of patchouli oil-great mink lure in the fall.
My own invention.

Patchouili Oil. Castor would also give a woodsy odor to a batch of soap, however I have not made any like that as of yet.

I like the smell of castor, my wife however would likely not be happy with castor scented soap. I still recall as a kid having some sunscreen that smelled just like beaver castor. I know they add small amounts of castor to many things in the perfume trade, but this stuff I swear would have made a great beaver lure.

My mother makes homemade soap, I may have to tell her to try some Patchouili Oil.
