I just found out Richard Mondy who went by the name Furvor here on Trapperman passed away last year on July 4, 2021. It must have been unexpected since he posted here the day before on July 3. Richard was 89 years old and trapped alone until he was about 87 when he hung up the traps and snares. Richard was very knowledgeable about life including trapping and snaring. When he was 86 years old, he snared 11 bobcats and as I said he did it alone back in the bush and lava rocks. I met him several times including a few months before he died and he gave me his “secret” bobcat location. Richard was a Korean War veteran and if he was going to pass I guess it was fitting it would be on July 4. RIP Richard.

I remember the handle-Sad news but it sounds like he lived a good long life with quality right to the end.God bless.

Sad to see this. He had and used good common sense. This site can’t afford to lose any like him.
