Ok. I get it. You may ask = Why replace white sand with White sand? To see how it holds up. Blending wise. Plus. Often its dry on top. BUT a black dark down where its wet. SO often. Blends better IF you use alittle white clean sand??? NOPE

Ok. 2 similar sets. 1 with pipe. 1 with lure stick only. Both made days ago. Brown waxed sand. NO sinking spots. Its red clayish sand. Blend well no bleed threw

Big hog stepped on both sides of the trap. Took 1 of my 2 lure sticks! LOL! White clean. Lowes sand ? Keeps bleeding threw

No. Sharkhunter my worries are = Voids around pan. Sinking spots. Last job I had 6 inch of rain in 8 day period. My MJ 600 Sterlings fire fine in wet sand. Just have voids and blending issues. Not a big deal. Just trying to build a better mouse trap

Also = still need more traps put out. I am behind. Cause of rain. Tomorrow will start in =
wet sand. So. Blending with spray pump will help make things match better. Will be a slow day tomorrow

Here is 1 with just at tad of = sinkage. About 2 oclock from pipe. May have a puttle there latter if it keeps raining. Keep in mind. I am also doing these = experiments cause I may need a trap to run for 3 weeks in this wet mess

How is the waxed sand holding up in the heat? I would thought it would clump up

Does clump up some. I transport it down here about 240 miles. I noticed = it was more. = Balled up. Like little marbels. At times. I had to crust it back up. But then it was fine

I’m understanding what you’re trying to accomplish, I think. But have you had traps not work after that much rain? Or avoidances because of a dip? I’ve seen coyotes caught in some stuff that I had given up on. One was a trench dirthole set that was completely covered in water. I just figured I’d collect the trap when the water dried up some and it wasn’t pure mud. 3 days later I see a coyote dancing at that set. Apparently the set still fired and there was a smell or something he liked that was still lingering around. Granted he was a mud ball and not very happy, but he was caught.

Now my question is where did you find the brownish sand? That would almost fit in with this red Georgia clay.

Never had any problems with Formula 1. Caught some very ruff coyotes with it from alabama to West Texas. Dip is good Problem was mostly with MB 550s not firing in red clay. Cause of excessive rain. The other problem is = sinkage with MJ 600s. Solved that by = taking more time to bone in and water proff trap. Main problem = come tomorrow. = I am behind. Need to get traps in the ground. Ever tried packing or setting traps in pure wet sand ? It aint fun. Pack to much. And you dont have enough sand to cover trap. Making traps run threw 7 to 10 inch of rain in a 21 day or longer job is my goal
