Best in the business.
I wonder if anyone took up the Dorn dog line?
I wondered if Al P. Might buy it out

The best for sure! I dont think Allen is to far behind Craig age wise, but who knows. I still remember hiking in on some BLM where the IBEX roam. Had some cat sets in there. Seen a truck pull in on the two track and the guy (Allen) was glassing me. I knew he was going to wait till I came out so I made it down the hill and pulled up beside him. He tried to buffalo me a little, but after we got to talkin ended up having a good conversation, we both had taken instruction from Craig. I never did more than trapping for a hobby. Allen trapped for a living doing predator control.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement!

We will miss going there, few years back we got to see Dana's Mountain Lions.
This spring we got to see her herd of goats and babies.

Just have to order frozen mud wax in cooler weather from some place else.

Let me sugar coat this

They told me the only reason they didn't put out a catalog was because paper shortage, which I no a local printing shop here is having same trouble, there getting there paper out of Germany.
O' Gorman's will never quite, probably when Craig gives it up coyotes will be trying to dig him up just to pay him back.

We are seeing paper shortages in from our trapping magazine firms and printers as well. Lead time is getting longer to help avoid delays as many issues have time sensitive information.

That's what Nancy mentioned to me today when I placed an order. I didn't inquire as to THEIR business dealings

Only every person that ever bought a dog from him and than bred it. Lol

Vernon’s original line has to be so diluted out by now.

I first met Craig and Dana in October of 1978, was last with him the weekend of 4-7-22. Week later i lost my second Dorn Dog, they had one they wanted me to have when i was there, so when i lost my dog, and he had been with me 9 years, i called them to see if they still had the one, and yes they did, so i went and got her, its a sister to the one i lost, shes 11 years old and now a fully retired part of our family. The blood line is still very accurate in this one, and now they are out of dogs !! Craig lost his best dog one day one the line, thats when he decided to quit the dogs.

I will disagree with LTs comment on the high desert spear Being an original O Groman product.

I got In touch with Rich Butera about me making the Butera spade stake. They said It wasn't a problem. As far as I knew they where the first ones to come out with a disposable stake for trapping. But I didn't like the V shape notch for the driver so I had them made with the square notch. There are some differences between what I made and O Gormans product but they are much the same type of disposable.

The thing Is I never planed on selling them since I was getting them made by a good friend of mine for no cost. And I was making them long before anyone else.

Beav, Trap-Trader-Vic Kadish showed me a stake very similar to the spade stake in the late 1980s. It is funny just how long some of these ideas and products have been around.

Pretty sure the Ron Hanson's Iowa Disposible stake was around before Butera's.
