In the morning (Aug 29) at 0833 hrs. This is a large rocket that is being tested for the next moon mission.

Should be able able to see this one from here if it ain't cloudy.

Saw the satellite launch a couple weeks ago and it was a much smaller rocket.

Saw it on the news this morning, its a biggun!

I only have one question about something they said??????

Its going up and going to orbit the moon a couple laps and come back. It also has mannequins in it so they can see how much radiation they are exposed to.
But.....haven't we been to the moon before and should know this???

Or is the radiation from the rocket itself?

A lot of people are convinced that we never made the moon landing?

I was looking forward to the launch. We need more space exploration. Remember when this country had national goals?

Still does, just the opposite of what we were founded on.

Could the radiation comment be used to continue doubt of the time on the moon?

Could it be that the mannequin might not have a space suit on so they can get the most exposure

Sadly, all the news reports I heard only cared that there was a woman and a "person of color in the crew", their words, not mine.

Well, I can't answer any questions about the mannequins because its just something I heard the news guy say.

I did a quick Google and it sure enough is true, testing g for radiation levels. I can't link with this kindle but if you want to read it, just Google it.

If they're qualified good 4 them. If not, I wouldn't want to be one of their teammates.....

The head Nasa guy said they don’t have the technology to go back to the moon.

But they’re trying to get humans to live on Mars. Mars is about 5 times further away from Earth than the moon.

Hey JP it's a little farther than that. Earth to Mars is 90.682 million miles. Earth to the Moon is a mere 238.9 thousand miles. The last several years of my working carrer was working in the aerospace industry. I spent some time working on some Space Shuttle test equipment in the mid '70s and in the last few years some proposal work on James Webb, and "various" satellites. I've always said sending humans to the moon was a HUGE waste of money, man power, and human lives. Now we are talking Mars? It's just stupid, ludicrus, insanity!
