What kind of tree is that ? I had a silver maple that dulled my chain every cut I made , I'm not sure but it looks like firewood.

If your wanting sunlight through, you must like mowing grass lol.now not only do you haveto mow it to keep weeds and Grass from being head high, you have created an object to mow around lol.dont be that guy that cuts one to let light in,and realizes when that one's down you should have cut the one a little to the west of it lol.and keep working your way west till the sun sets I'm getting sunlight in its not as dark as it was still have more to cut down.

Guss you ain’t scared I’ll give you that, make sure you always have an escape path, do not move from the stump until you’re sure which direction the tree is falling, look up multiple times for anything that can fall on you, not just in the tree you are felling but the surrounding trees, all of them. The tree is a maple, if the inee of the leaf is u shaped it’s a sugar maple, if it’s v shaped it’s a soft maple.

Not to worry, Guss. These self-appointed experts claim to know it all.
As you have proven, beyond a reasonable doubt, just keep hackin' and sooner or later, they all fall.
Please keep posting, Especially post the pics. I'm sure we can all learn a lot from you.
