First ones I used were 5' since that is what I was told to use. What a pain in the butt. The next were 6, worked much better for me. They are not hard to lengthen or shorten, especially if using an extra swivel.

Can you use a swiveled snare now? In the last i thought PA had to run straight snares.

I think most of mine are 6’ and it’s about right giving me just a bit leeway between anchor/stake and trail. Extensions aren’t hard to add to end. Shorter I don’t think will work for me here. I run cable and berks or pogos on end of mine for cheap anchors to keep things light and not carrying too much steel like rebar. These work well for me on coyotes. Jim
