They are mainly the only traps I use, besides for the couple MB 550’s I have. Until I find something better, I am sticking with the Monty dogless.

So I got my first Montgomery style dogless traps today. They are actually from wolf creek. I’m messing around with the dogless trigger setup. Is it possible to night latch them? There isn’t a lot of travel, but more than I’ve had with the bridgers and some other factory nightlatched traps I’ve used in the past!

Pretty happy with them other than that!

Couple strokes with a file is all it takes.

I have had the same results also!! The #3 two coil offset jaw is a good coyote trap. If you are good at adjusting/tinkering with traps they can be made into a Very Good coyote trap! Sorry IMO. The #2 vic/mont. is junk for a coyote trap. One more thing. I like short Chains 16" to 18". When set up right they are a vary good coyote trap for the money.
