clintp1971 OP trapper C Joined: Mar 2018 Posts: 649 tennessee	Hello everyone, I just bottled up some beaver tail oil that has been making all summer. I’m interested in how fellow trappers use it. Do you use it straight or mix it with other ingredients? What all is it good for? Any other info you’d be willing to share.

Be careful when using...do t drip any where you don't want it. Add a drop or two of skunk essence to a 4 oz bottle for a good change-up lure in any weather. bearcat2 trapper B Joined: Oct 2011 Posts: 2,479 Idaho	I made a lure using it as a base with other ingredients added, including castor and tonquin. Was attempting to make a good canine lure. I found birds of prey loved it, if I put it on a bone or stick as a lure holder anywhere in the open my lure holder was liable to be packed off next check, longtailed cats (cougars) loved it, but canines were hit and miss. Also used it as substitution for fish oil in bait solution. Can't tell you how that works because I haven't tested it yet. The lure I made, used as a rub lure on a log, stump or rock will have canines ignore it 3 times out of 4, and the fourth time they will wear the place out spending many minutes there rubbing and sniffing. Jumper, you using just straight BTO squirted like urine on a pee post?
