Don't know of any big numbers mink guys who uses lures. Since I'm a small numbers guy, I use Carman's.

Try weasel gland; it has worked great for me.

I use Cavens and Carmen’s.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

I have used many different mink lures, but never noticed any difference in catch numbers.
I will say that I seem to catch more than I care to in marten sets using Gusto, even on vertical sets.
Mink CAN climb.

Just doing what I want now.

Here's what an old timer told me when I started. Mink and weasels are natural enemies, where you have a lot of mink your weasel numbers will be down. Where you have more weasels your mink numbers will be down. I would use a weasel lure as that signifies to the mink that a weasel who's their natural enemy has moved onto their turf. Have also heard oily fish work better than any commercially made lure.

Seems when I use any lure at mink sets It's a guaranteed racoon so, I don't use any at all. Learn the mink and use blind sets with BGs and paw holds both wet and dry.

Common sense catches alot of fur..

YES blind and bottom edge are all great mink catchers but you have to find them. Pocket sets are also great but, you can’t put a pocket set into solid rock or a frozen bank. Box sets will catch mink and are best used in spots where it's hard to make other sets. This is where lure use is basic being used to draw the mink to the set location.

Mink lure is a fantastic tool to make money for lure makers. Nuff said.
Boxes work great in Canada, at least some very good trappers say so.
I have a friend that has had decent luck in the USA, but not real numbers. Very very few guys seem to have luck using a box. Or if they do have luck with boxes, they are staying pretty darn quite about it.

Pocket set, half a bluegill and a spritz of mink urine.

Let's go Brandon!

Actually, I cannot recall using a commercial lure for mink. I have always used the hind quarter of weasel with the glands attached as an attractant to the set. I just suggested the OP try that (natural weasel gland) as it has worked well for me. Sorry I wasn't specific in my original post.

Hind quarter of a mink with glands attached also works well. Kinda sloppy trapping, but just take a mink you skin, flop the carcass over a log or wood chunk, wack the hind quarters of with an ax and go through them in your pocket, box, or whatever type of set you are using.
