When is enough ammo stored in the house enough? I had a little help this past week on sorting things here on the plantation. I ended up with 36 boxes of 12gauge bird shot. About 400 rounds of double 00 and maybe 15-20 rounds of slugs. Then about 9000 rounds of 22LR. A thousand rounds of that was 22shorts. Too many .223 rounds to count. A numerous amounts of different calibers. Chances are I will see some more and purchase.

I store components so I am flexible and can replace whatever I use. I do keep a few thousand 223 on hand and a couple of hundred of all other calibers that I use.

when it well exceeds what you will use in your life time.
and that al depends on your shooting habits , and life expectancy.
it isn't likely to get cheaper that it was , maybe a bit cheaper than it is today.
stored well it lasts a long time 20-30 years is nothing for well stored ammo.
so how much do you use I would think bird shot , slugs and 22lr are a low but I plan to live a good while longer
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

in the past 11 years I have accumulated 6 12 ga. rounds, 13 rifle rounds and 2 boxes of 22 LR I have a pea shooter and a bag of peas
