Finally found the certificate from the only banded duck I've ever shot.

On 12/11/2019, I shot a hen common eider off of Bar Harbor, ME. She had been tagged on 05/25/2008 near Trois-Pistoles, Quebec.

When she was tagged, she was already an adult, hatched in 2007 or earlier.

Shot a banded coot a few years back. Didn't taste very good. Had the cooking recipe on the band: Wash. Biol. Surv. grin

Shot a banded bluebill in northern NY that was banded in Quebec. It was 13 years old. All the others have been first year mallards

Only shot one Canada goose with a band. Shot in eastern CT and banded in western RI, only 10-15 miles away.

Shot quite a few bands over the years. Lots of mallards from Quebec, black ducks from Nova Scotia and Ontario, scaup from Erie. But here are the furthest from home. A Brant and a snow goose from Nunavut

2400 mile one way trip!
