Anyone know who the gentlemen was that posted pictures of his career trapping exotic animals, I can't find the pictures in the archive and one of my kids is interested in becoming a biologist that can use trapping skills lol

I bet you are speaking of Gulo. I believe those pics were in Siberia. Pretty impressive if I remember correctly.

Wild WI - I don't know if I'm the one you're looking for. I've not done any work in Africa, but lots of on-the-job trapping in North America and Asia. If I can be of any service, let me know.

Jack

I believe Major Boddicker has written about trapping in Africa, seen a few of his articles in the last few years.

Africa and its history would have added another wonderful colour of dimension if Jack had been there. Too bad. Africa's loss entirely.

I think there is no book, but a series of articles in “American trapper” mag.

Google critr-call and see if Major can be contacted. I believe he has a website

Think he has some articles on Africa in Trappers Post too.
He's written a few books and some scientific papers as well, (PhD)
His website appears to be down.

You need to get Gulo’s two books, one is a great hunting novel and the other is about his amazing life as a wildlife biologist.

Yes. Every one of Jack's books are so worth having . All of them. They are such that one cannot possibly remember all his adventures , so re-reading them , like a favourite movie enjoyed over again, is easily warranted. Keepers for the shelf book collection.
