Any recommendations based on our lifestyle- in the past, I have usually gone with Otterbox or Life Proof but when they became one company it seems like you tradeoff between impact and waterproof resistance by choosing one over the other. I usually destroy the box and then ultimately the phone, have the insurance policy and have used it. Planning on upgrading my phone shortly, anyone have a bullet proof suggestion for more tactical phone cases on the market?

I’ve always used otter box too. I just upgraded to the new iPhone 14 and could not find a camouflage otter box case for it. I ended up getting some other military grade case for it but I don’t like it as much as the otter box.

I’ve seen people at the water park have their phone in waterproof bag hanging around their neck. I thought that might be a decent idea for when trapping. But a ziplock would do the same thing for way cheaper.

I have a Pelican on my Iphone 11 and I have never looked back, I have dropped it on its corners, face, back, any way imaginable and it still doesn't break.

Otter box on my Iphone 14 with a tempered glass overlay for the screen. That setup has worked well on my last phones.

If you are going the Zipper bag route, Look into the re usable Silicon zip bags. Much sturdier.

The last few generations of iPhones are waterproof as they are. Just find a case that protects it well. I’m using Mous with a glass screen protector but there are lots of options out there

When I first got an iPhone I went the route of pelican, otter box, etc. Now I just have a little wrap around and tempered glass over the screen for the last couple of years. No breakage of any kind so far and it’s dropped, used in the rain, shoved in pockets, etc. I just got tired of that big blocky feeling in my shirt pocket or pants pockets. I’d be worried about camo in the woods, I’d lay it down or drop it and never find it, lol.
I will say my best investment was Aftershokz bone conduction ear piece. I now sit in my deer stand and listen to podcast with deer all around me and cam still hear them as well. Makes time fly when you’re waiting for one particular deer.
