There's a local (in State) Federal office of NICS that is Supposed to deal with certain odd issues.
I sold Firearms for 19 years 1991 to 2010 and worked with those offices / Agents many times.

The Mills family no longer owns it, it was sold a few years ago. Mills are not connected with it in any way. Stewart Mills (son of the founder) is a staunch conservative and ran for congress a couple times. Maybe that has something to do with it. I doubt if Ellison is smart enough to make the connection. He's a complete idiot.

In theory, Ellison is "protecting" good people of MN from gun violence by going after the outfits that sold the guns. What recourse do the good people of MN have when AG's and prosecutors of MN fail to prosecute those that picked up the gun and committed the crimes? Or put them into the revolving door of the legal justice system.......putting them in jail on day........putting them back out on the street the next? How many of the thugs what pick up the guns are repeat offenders?

If your only option is to vote him out, and you can't, what options do you have left? Do the people get to sue the AG.....at taxpayer expense? Unlimited ability to harass the guy until he gives up?

Problem is there are folks on this forum that will vote for this guy, or someone just like him in their own state, and keep claiming the left will never come for our guns.

the left doesn't really come for your guns , they

A. weaponize the judicial system against you so that you are punished for using your gun to protect your life.
B. inconvenience you in every possible way to purchase , own , posses , transfer , obtain ammunition , transport or otherwise have or use your gun in any way. using all sorts of tools not the least of which is to change definition's on you so that you become a felon with a stroke of a pen. refer to A.

then finally C. they send some one they deem disposable with a badge for you. refer to A

they are sort of hands off players and prefer to farm out the work you could say.

Not to mention that small mom&pop shops are way less likely to be able to defend against such charges so more likely to close their doors

I'd guess that Keith Ellison has thoughts of running for a higher office at some point. He might think his "taking on major gun retailers" would make for a good sound bite in a future campaign ad.

Let’s hope he gets his support pulled out from underneath his sorry butt in November! I doubt it but we can hope.

KKR has already made significant changes, you can't find half of the stuff that made Fleet Farm.what it was when Stewart and Hank ran the company.

Straw purchases happen at every gun store big or small, the sales clerk has no way of knowing that the guy buying the gun is buying it for someone else if he’s in the store by himself making the purchase. KE needs to take a long walk on a short pier, and take gov goofy with him.
