I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Reproduction. Less than 50 years old. Made by Jim River Supplies in Vermillion SD.

Check out their web site - trap might still be in production.

Awesome, thanks everyone!! My buddy isn't a trapper but knows I am and love all traps. It's not for sale and even if it was I wouldn't be interested. I'm gearing up to longline chipmunks. Do they make a one hand setter for Victor rat traps? My arthritis is getting the best of me. grin grin

Hey Catch, drill a hole in the rat trap and use a drywall screw to screw it fast to a board, then you can set it one handed, unscrew it and place it where you want. The best fur handler I ever saw was Gene Fisher. Gene lost 1 hand in WW2. He used rat traps for weasels and this was his setting method. RIP Gene..

No 6 is a big trap.
For a trap that size it doesnt look too well made.

Get some t-rex traps. You can just step on em to set.

I read on the internet that the springs of the Jim River trap compress at 375 pounds!
