One thing every farmer told me was never trust a bull , they could kill you thinking they're playing with you.
A dog , if it showed any aggression toward anyone , was gone..

I'm not advocating for anything, but if I read it right, they had the dogs for 8 YEARS! I just can't grasp how that connection was severed, other than jealousy of the young children. Definitely a sad story!

Pit bulls and crossed up pit bull mutts are not to be trusted at all. I've been dealing with one all summer. The owner let's it run once in a while. It seems to know how serious I am when I tell it to get lost.

I was always satisfied with an ol hound as a pet. Ive always liked rottweilers and dobermans but just like a pit I would never own one with 3 little kids at home. Not worth the risk. I still have scars on my face from the mutt we owned down in Florida that attacked me when I was 2. Dad properly shot the dog and took me to the hospital to get 16 stitches. Even now at 32 years old my wife knows my rule. The first time one of our dogs bites any of us out of aggression it will meet a swift demise. A dog can easily be replaced but my kids are my world.
