I have an antelope head I want to do a euopeon mount at a later date. I have no freezer space. Can I leave it outside, bury it or what? Thanks

If you're doing an Euro, I'd skin it out, pop out the eyes, take off the lower jaw and tongue. If you can boil it off, so much the better...

"And God said, Let us make man in our image and let them have dominion and all the creatures that move along the ground".
Genesis 1:26

After you get the head skinned and as much flesh off of the skull as you can I would put it in a plastic bag and keep it in a warm place for a few days. this will sweat the horns off. You have to get the horns off of an Antelope and remove the tissue between the horn and the bone, otherwise it will spoil and stink forever.

If you bury it, your skull turn dark and nasty and you'll never get it white.

Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

Go ahead and boil it off. You won’t regret it later. I actually have an antelope head in freezer to do soon. Is the best way to “ sweat “ them off like mentioned? Any other ways to get the horns off to get those knobs cleaned up?
