I have seen it on the mountains several weeks ago. Wish it would stay on the mountain tops but that is only wishful thinking.

Nobody is ever prepared for those September storms lol. Around here , everybody forgets how to drive in snow for the first snowfall. The body shops love it. Busy for weeks afterwards. The tire shops will have a line around the building and down the street as everyone waits till the last minute. Time to buy tires is now , people , if you are due. Also time to dig out your ice scraper and snow brush. When we get the first real good cold snap , all the cars with weak batteries and other issues will be getting towed into repair shops. We like to ask these people " How was the car starting when it was warm ?" The reply is usually that it wasn't doing too good. Then you ask if they thought it would get better when it got cold and it got harder to start it. Avoid all these problems. Look after your car now.

Maybe I better take the mower deck off the tractor and put the snow blade on.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

When out on the land this time of year, when it is cold wet snow for several days,it chills you to the bone-no way to keep from getting wet and cold when you stop moving. Also tough to get a good fire going.Birch bark and large (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) bundles of dry dead branches from the lower trunks of standing spruce makes for a quick warming fire in those conditions even in bad wet snow/rain.

80F days and 50F nights here. Air quality index is 220 right now with the wildfires. Very unhealthy to be out and about.
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

I remember getting snow on Halloween one year in western NY when I was young. Not a lot, but a couple inches. Was weird trick or treating and all the Jack O'lanterns had a snow cap on, lol.
Gotta find a way, a better way, I'd better wait

I don't know how old you are,,and wont ask a lady,,but Im old enough to remember several snowy Holloweens. The running joke was that moms had to design Hollowen costumes to fit over snow gear. I guess that was also long enough ago when no one had store bought costumes. You made a costume out of what ever was at the house.I was usually a Lumberjack,,cause most of my shirts were plaid anyway,,and the Old Man figured it would be better if I carried around my Double Bitted Axe instead of a gun dressed up as a hunter.
