I believe that war will be over by spring one way or the other. France has long lines for gas because of the war and a oil worker strike. people are marching to pull out of NATO. People in the UK are hoarding wood and heating fuel, Italy is talking of leaving NATO. And our fearless leader wants to send more weapons and money. They need to start talking about a deal. What do you think?

A guy approached me 3 weeks ago for 1000's of cords of firewood. He is shipping the wood to Europe; I told him he was nuts, but he said the numbers work. Wood theft is ramped over there.

If we would have just stayed out of it it would have been over months ago; of course the "swamp" wouldn't hear of that, wars make a few people a lot of money.

Russia and Ukraine would have negotiated a settlement, with Russia getting a little bit of eastern Ukraine, which has for centuries been pretty much Russia anyway. And tens of thousands of lives would have been saved.

Who knows where it will end up now, with us pumping in tons of tax payer's money and weapons; must be some sort of perverse fun for those guys in Washington and the arms industry.

European history tells me that nearly all of Ukraine was Russia from about 1650 until about 1915. Putin might not be a good/nice/cordial guy, but I really doubt he is actually a psychopath.
