Some factory guns just shoot great, and some are just adequate. Little bit of the luck of the draw. I have noticed that large bore levers and carbines seem to be adequate and .30 caliber and lower seem to be more precise. Just my experience. The shooter is the biggest variable for sure.

I use copper cleaner occasionally.

I shoot better groups when my target bulls eye is very small. A half inch square is good at 100 yards for me.

Tony I agree. Once you get them dialed in on paper the next few shots should be cold bore I think. I cant believe anyone would do it differently but I guess if a guy lived in town and had to pay a new fee at a gun range for one shot, it might be less than ideal.
