Has anyone ever tired a mixer like this when making waxed dirt or sand?

That would be a lot of work! Not sure it would buy much without a heat source and trying to simultaneously heat the mix while standing over it and mixing with that would be tough. Not even sure it would power thru much dirt/sand.

Cement, mortar and paint are liquids. Dry sand not so much.

I don’t have a cement mixer, last year I heated up my sand on top a propane turkey fryer in a 5 gallon bucket and mixed it with a paint stirrer that goes in a drill. Got it up to temp then added the wax and kept mixing then dumped it out on a piece of plywood to cool. I did burn a batch though. Mixing with the drill did an ok job I was just looking for a different way to make it better this year.

I use the mixer from Harbor Freight, it's lasted 6 years and counting. Did 50 gallons in one afternoon...

Look on Craigslist. I found a really good cement mixer for a very low price.
