poconobear OP trapper P Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 233 pa	Just got my tanned otter back. I left the feet on. The back legs came back with the tanned part showing. I want to display the fur side. Can I just rehydrate the area and flip the back feet with the fur showing? Thanks

ultratec1 trapper U Joined: Sep 2015 Posts: 13 Iowa	This is one thing that I always try to tell my customers when they asked for the feet left on, "You wont like the way the feet are displayed when it's done". This applies to otter, coon, skunk and the smaller animals. Coyotes, Badgers, Bobcat, Fox (kinda) are the ones that I would recommend people keeping paws/feet on.

Soak the feet in warm water until they are soft,then turn them fur out.if you want them to dry nice stuff them with sawdust or cobgrit.When they dry you can dump out the cobgrit/sawdust. I've done it plenty-no problem as long as the tanned skins are fresh and have been tanned properly-Also important that the feet were skinned out properly before tanning.
