Well as has been every year that there has been a bobcat season here in Illinois, none of the 4 applications in my family drew a tag. But I knew that was the probable outcome when I applied. The email notifications were sent out earlier today. Any other Illinois folks have better luck than me?

Last year another no go for me. Didn’t apply this year and won’t apply anymore.

Don’t y’all catch them anyways and have to release them because you don’t have a tag? That could be another state I’m thinking of everyone posts about. It just seems to me if you catch them fairly regularly then their should be a regular season even if a limit is applied.

Yeah they get caught and released pretty regular. I have a buddy that only traps weekends after his family is done deer hunting their property and he averages catching 2 a year and caught 3 one year. They are thick down here in the central and southern portions of the state. But its Illinois the government here can screw up anything.
