Am I way off base in thinking this is not just ridiculous but what's coming down the pike for everything? Don't get me wrong, I have nothing for cheaters but multiple felonies for people who cheated in a fishing tournament. Taking away their right to own a gun and to vote, if convicted, because they cheated in a fishing tournament? The ODNR taking their boat and trailer, calling them criminal tools? They are - and should have been kicked out from tournament fishing for life, but? What say you??? Link

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Theft by deception has been a felony for a long time. Taking away a persons right to be armed rather than keeping dangerous people on the chain gang, is relatively recent. 1968

Whats the difference between stealing $30k from a tournament or stealing it out of your house? If you cant do the time, dont do the crime. Seriously. I see a huge difference.

They cheated everyone. Definition of a crook. Are there good crooks and bad crooks where you live? So, your down at the local Legion, kicking back a couple beers and they ask you to fill in a empty spot in the euchre tournament and you get caught cheating. Should your truck be seized as a criminal tool and you charged with multiple felonies?

Who plays euchre for 30000 bucks? Theft is theft, sin is sin. Yes, there are high dollar card tournaments.

Give it up, 30,000 grand is a far cry from a local card game. Round here cheating in a card game is often rewarded with a broken nose or missing teeth. Both of which those cheaters should have gotten immediately upon the finding of the weights. Then “laws” can take over from there. Seems once someone has their rear end handed to them, it often leaves a lasting reminder of what NOT to do. Sadly, today’s society frowns upon such actions. Citizens keeping each other in line had worked for eons, children seeing what happens to “bad apples” is a great learning tool for the vast majority of people.

What did Brady and the Patriots get for cheating? Criminal charges? There was a lot more than 30g at stake. Bet NO ONE called for criminal charges in that situation. Why?

Catch if $30K is chump change to you, I have an address you can send it to. You steal $50 from me and you better hope the police find you before I do. Those folks in those tournaments worked hard for their money to enter.
Good grief, where did I say it's chump change? I can see by your reply, you don't get it. TC1 gets it somewhat even though I've seen card games exceed 30k. It should have been handled in house, then them banned for life to fish in tournaments. So you guys are ok with stripping a man his right to bear arms, his right to vote, because he cheated? Riddle me that???
