Really wish I had a picture or had seen it for myself. Both my brothers texted me this morning that they saw something very strange while deer hunting. My teenage brother texted me first, he claims four fishers in a group came running through the brush in a very tight pack, like within a foot of each other. He didn’t see them for long but they were only at 20 yards and he knows animals pretty well. A few minutes later my older brother saw them also from a different stand a few hundred yards away. Again, under twenty yards but all swimming together in a small creek a foot deep and few feet wide. Only saw them for a few seconds and thought they were otter. Both said that they were all 6-10 lbs. Both species are very rare around here but fishers are more common of the two. This behavior seems weird to me for both species, would either species run in a pack like that and would fishers swim in the creek? What do y’all think they were?

Definitely otter. Very very common for them to run in groups and swim.

Could be a group of Mexicans headed to the border. This comment seems racist. You should apologize to anyone you may have offended.
