Del Gue OP trapper Joined: Jun 2022 Ohio	Hey everyone, I Shot a couple squirrels today and while cleaning I noticed one of them had these raised white spots on the liver. Almost like a small pimple, there were maybe 3-4 of them. Anyone know what they are? Safe to eat? I are a mountain man, and I'll live 'til an arrow or a bullet finds me. And then I'll leave my bones on this great map of the magnificent�

Gary Benson trapper G Joined: Dec 2006 Very SE Nebraska	The purpose of a liver is to filter impurities out of a body. I like calf liver but that's probly not a great idea either. Liver and onions are excellent.. Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Catch22 trapper Joined: Nov 2015 OH	I've seen it a few times on squirrel and pitched them. I thought of coccidiosis (sp) in rabbits and didn't trust them. I have no real knowledge of what it is in squirrels or if it's ok to eat them. I go by the old saying, when in doubt through it out. I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

I just couldn't bear with tossing that big, beautiful fox squirrel. I figure the guy just liked to have a cocktail. I are a mountain man, and I'll live 'til an arrow or a bullet finds me.
