I set bunch of traps on a farm yesterday like I posted yesterday. Hoping for racoons because there's sign of it everywhere. Whatever it was bent the door outta shape and opened up the bottom and dug a hole out. I had cinder blocks on the trap too prevent it from getting tipped over. Never happened too me before. Got any solutions?

Use T-Stakes next time straight down through the top to anchor. If you only put block on top and didn't shore up the sides it was too top heavy and easy for it to tip over.

Never had a cage trap tip over. Never used a T- stake or a weight on top of a cage trap. It looks like a cheap hav-a-hart junk trap. Fixed many of them for people I trapped for. You can only fix them so many times.
Get some good traps , personally I never liked the slant solid tin doors on traps.

Quality cages Needed is True However never using a stake & never having a coon tip one over. Well Wisconsin coon "can" be Much larger than Ohio coon.

Raccoons dont have nothing on a ground hog when it comes to destroying cage traps.

Can you guys help me find some reasonable brands. Or how too make my own after I patch this one up. Koonce is on the more affordable scale for nuisance trapping cages. To set the trap, all you do is raise the door. Rear bait/release door. Cant remember the name but there was a guy selling a similar style trap at the NTA this year, only difference I remember was how the rear door operated.
