I just remembered....the college mascot in Powell is the Northwest Wyoming Trappers. I stopped there years back and bought some shirts at the library. They have a painting on the hallway wall of a mountain man.

Tragic as that is and it couldve been a lot worse, im glad to know there are young men like that still out there. Both those guys are tough as nails with hearts of gold. Hope they make full recoveries with just a few scars to show the ladies.

Bad deaI for sure, Brave guy. I had a buddy get mauled shed hunting by a brown bear a few years ago. Thumb in the eye is what got it of him. Still recovering.

My boys just got back from hunting west of Dubois. The warden told them he patrols over a million acres there and there are bear attacks you never hear about and he has to investigate them all. He's seen some grisly things.

Can you imagine having to wrestle hese guys after they recover? 140 pounders head to head with a grizzly and came out the other side.

Tough, brave boys for sure! This country is full of things that will kill you. No one should ever go anywhere with out packing big iron for self protection! We have way too many bears here that have zero fear of humans! Grizzlies are very common just out in the sage country and crop lands. They love corn fields!

They Need a Fear of Man Hunting season put back on them.

Never happen in the Jellystone area. Same with wolves.

Jereys has ahold of 2 different bear in his marten traps so far this season.

Interesting. Wifey and I camped in Powell on our way to and from Montana this summer. They have a city park that allows camping there.

I certainly wouldn't want to wrestle the man (I think they deserve that title now) that wrested a bear and came out on top.

Lots of grizzlies down low this year. Even some of the antelope hunters that come out every year saw grizzlies
