Last year I was running some water traps close to home I generally like to have my in and outs at steep, difficult, thick and hard to reach places. Cuts down on theft and any nosey people. One day i jumped down the steep embankment to my access spot and I saw a makita bag. Being a carpenter i knew what it was from a distance. It looked fresh and full. Of course i made my way to it and checked it out. Full it was so I opened it up. First thing i saw was a chrome plated junk 380 from a FL manufacturer which at first glance i thought was a BB gun. Then i saw a LCP 9. I had just bought my wife one. I thought to myself, what luck, i got one for free. Along with that was a bong, scale, and all the other good things along with some bit boxes and such.
I took the pistols and bits and finished my line. I told my wife what i had found and she wasnt happy. She is a practitioner at a local provider as well as working in conjunction with LEOs with subjects like sexual assualt and drug stuff. She didnt like that fact that they could be linked to crimes and in MY possession. I took her advice. I called the sheriff and had him come by to pick up the guns. They were clean apparently. I am glad i took my wifes advice, i dont need those things in hind sight. I tild him i could show him where the bag was with the rest of the junk. He wasn’t interested. I went back and got it out of the woods and in the dump.
