Tore my biceps tendon/muscle around seven weeks age. Finally broke down and went to the orthopedic surgeon and he did an MRI, long story short it's torn pretty good. Have any of you guys/gals ever done this? If so how was it after repair? Thanks

Tore my labrum and ripped the bicep from my chest. They had to use some type of screws to hold in in place. I was out about 4-5 months before being released.
Had some buddies that ripped their biceps and don’t see how you lasted 7 weeks, lol. These guys were at the gym and I watched one as his ripped. He went straight to the hospital and surgery a day or two later. All were out several months.

I partially tore my left one. The surgeon told to not do any lifting and not to use my arm for 4 to 6 weeks. He said if I didn't listen and tore it the rest of the way that he would need to do surgery within a few days or he wouldn't be able to fix it. I tore it down by my elbow. Thankfully it healed and I haven't had any more issues with it.

Ruptured my right bicep . They cut my arm open , pulled the muscle and tendons back down and secured them with titanium pins. Works good in warm weather but gets tight and cramps up in the cold .

Was in a shoulder to fingertip cast for several weeks .

I tore a muscle in my left arm pulling coon one night, over ten years ago. Deep in my upper arm, don’t know if it is in the bicep or tricep. It can get to hurting when I do certain things, but most of the time it doesn’t bother me. Talked to the doc, said there isn’t much they can do when it’s a muscle. It never has totally healed, which the doc also told me. Take more pills!

Friend of mine tore his into. Waited to long to see doctor. Surgery was not possible. Ruined his bow hunting as well.

3 years ago, friend of mine partially tore his bicep and left it alone. He had a huge lump where the torn part stood out for months. It looked terrible. His body eventually broke it down and reabsorbed it. I recommend getting it fixed.

I am eight weeks post surgery for a torn rotator cuff and a bicep tear. It has been tough. I have decent range of motion but still a lot of pain. I think my bicep was torn long before my rotator cuff and that it probably contributed to the shoulder injury. I would see a good doctor ASAP. Good luck!

Ended up having surgery this past Tuesday. No pain so to speak, that couldn't be knocked out with a few ibuprofen. Doc said he caught it in time, and was able to reattach everything. Now I have to make sure to follow doctor's orders, so I heal up correctly. Sucks no trapping this year. I was supposed to be on vacation right now for three weeks to trap. Oh well there's always next year.

Do the exercises like they tell you.
I injured my left shoulder about 4 years ago. I kept putting off going to the doctor. I figured it was badly bruised. I'm an idiot. Torn rotator cuff in 3 places, one of the biceps had become detached from the bone. They used screws and anchors to fix it. Doctor said if I do anything else stupid (it's just a matter of time) it will mean shoulder replacement.
Do the exercises.

Follow your PT’s orders to the LETTER! Don’t do anymore than what they tell you and go with their pace. I promise you will heal and be as good or better than you were before.
