Replacement blades for 3 heads run less than $20. Cheapest I've found them were $14.

I have used the jack hamers and they did well for me. I think I switched becuse where I went did not have them in stock but did have similar grim reapers so I bought them.

The grim reapers work as well but don't hold up to a shoulder hit. My youngest 10 shot a doe in the shoulder solid with the x bow and only one full blade made it into the chest cavity.. the rest broke off in the shoulder.

Now that was poor shot placement with a x bow for sure but he was 9 and used to shooting them wit guns and it was a perfect shoulder shot to drop it with a gun. I forgot to tell hims again to pick his shots different than when gun hunting.

I don't think any expandable will hold up to a hard bone hit. The only ones I will not use again are Rage shot a deer with 3 blade rage didn't hit but a single nick on a rib on the way out and it bent the blades up and the blood trail was the poorest I ever had with a bow. Had I not watches the deer drop 50 yards away it tools hav been a long night.
. Muzzys are incredible with bone hits. Never failed me never lost or broke a blade. But need a different target but usually shoot the same point of aim as field points.

Providence Farm,
I 100% agree about expandles meeting heavy bone. I've had a couple of those Wasps hit ribs in and out and the blades bent along with a noticeable bend in the ferrule. But, I'm a one broadhead/set of blades per deer bowhunter. I replace blades after every deer shot....even if they still seem sharp. If the ferrule gets damaged...to me that's OK as it's done its job. I screw on a new one, check the carbon shaft and back in quiver it goes

The Wasps have that Muzzy trocar-type tip and punch thru pretty good. I shot Muzzy 90 grain 4 blade fixed heads since the 80s when Muzzy came out with them. Killed a BUNCH of deer and feral hogs with em, but that 1" cutting diameter tightens up things a bit.

This evening, I reduced this buck down to 20 vacuum sealed packs of cubed meat. Took me a couple hours...couldn't get wife to help me this time...lol. Grill-sized and Fry-sized pieces...

Thank WB!

What's the status of your quest for that buck you're after?

Over here the bucks are going absolutely crazy past few days, especially with the temps in the 30s here...hunting has been unbelievable. Timing of this cold front hit smack dab on the chase phaze of our rut.

Pics on different cams every night. Only a few daytime pics and none consistent.
Did see some chasing this evening, mostly young bucks right now and lose interest once the does really start running away. They’re starting to really spar some but it’s just for show.
With rifle season opening this weekend I’m torn between picking up the gun or sticking with the bow. He’d be my biggest with either, lol.

I'm headed to north Missouri in a couple weeks. Be there for about a week bow hunting those beautiful midwest river bottoms.

This will be my 12th year hunting there....I usually don't break out the 7mm-08 until I return from that trip.

I did get drawn again for River Creek WMA quality buck quota rifle hunt in December...

I don’t put in for deer hunts anymore just “points only” if I ever want to go.
Good luck in Missouri! I only travel for turkeys, lol!
